Reconstruction and improvement

Together with 64 Ukrainian architects, urban planners, political scientists, and other specialists, with the support of the government, a volunteer project was carried out to create a handbook for city reconstruction.

Project:

This handbook contains recommendations for both the reconstruction of existing, waraffected cities and their improvement if deemed appropriate, but also for new urban development.

The handbook is supplemented with examples of global methods for creating comfortable cities. It contains typical solutions for designing streets, houses, planning areas, and more.

Recovery recommendations:

The book is based on the current Ukrainian regulations but does not have a stifling status and takes the form of recommendations.

The book is aimed at local municipalities to be able to make quick but well-founded decisions about reconstruction and to specialists who need to have an information base to create contextrelevant solutions.

Documentation on this page is created specifically for Urbanyna and may involve contributions from various team members or external entities.
