My name is Kateryna, and I am an architect with over 8 years of experience in the field of design and architecture.

I hold dual master’s degrees in architecture from France and Ukraine, with practical experience in both countries. Prior to my architectural pursuits, I studied at a fine arts school in Odesa, Ukraine. For the last five years, I have been working as an architect in Sweden.

I am an individual who believes in dialogue as the key to finding solutions. I consider ‘why’ to be the most important question, and that by keeping your ear to the ground you go further. I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaborations and believe that the most exciting projects emerge when people from diverse backgrounds contribute their expertise.

During my eight years in the architecture industry, I have worked on various types of projects, ranging from residential buildings and activity-based offices to school and restaurant interiors, as well as the transformation of religious buildings and complex community properties. Throughout my career, especially with the projects where I was involved at early stages, I frequently employed storytelling and design thinking methodologies in my processes.

Sustainability is a big focus of my professional approach and this year I became a certified Environmental Building Coordinator (Miljöbyggnadssamordnare), which facilitates conceptual understanding of sustainable project leadership as well as gives necessary insights into technical, financial, and administrative facets.

My multicultural professional and academic background has taught me to adapt to various contexts, see things from different perspectives, and be flexible.

I speak five languages, have a great interest in storytelling, and draw a lot of inspiration from art, literature, social science, and more.
