Context:

Creation of graphical identity is a prephase for an interior design competition project launched by municipalities, to gradually renovate 40 public schools in Marseilles.

Project:

The main idea of the project was to create a fully sensual perception of a space and to transform the moment of taking meals as particularly reach on experiences into a learning process. The research aimed to transposing 5 senses onto a local context of growing up in southern France and to identifying the places, noises, smells, sounds and colors that are the key components of a fully sensual perception of a child from Marseille.

To achieve that we gave a spatial and functional dimension to every sense.

Sight is represented in the interior by Coulours, lights and shadows. Coulours are used to highlight different functional zones, contrasts to stimulate vision and lights and shadows are represented by shading constrictions and separative elements.

We find Touch in materials of a different texture (rough passages, smooth tissues), in interactive elements such as movable walls, climbing surfaces etc.

Program:

Smell and Taste are two senses that are by default present in the restaurant, nevertheless, they can be enhanced by using food illustrations and images stimulating appetite. Illustrations can also carry educational purpose.

Acoustic elements and differentiation of space into areas with various levels of noise are responsible for Hearing sense
